about

Spring - the final release in my Telegraph series. I've gone all drum-heavy on the first track, putting as many snares into each bar as possible and processing them each with a billion rays of sunshine; the second track is as close to ambience as I've flirted with for a while, but I couldn't help bringing some warped beats into the final crescendo.

This Telegraph series has been a real joy for me across 2023. The idea of writing two songs a season was very achievable and creatively engaging, as it allowed me to recalibrate my sensibilities each couple of months and try new things.

A video that pulls together all of the Telegraph songs into an album sequence can be viewed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVjAmcE6JA0

I've also created two videos for each of the tracks on this album:
Vernaliso: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlNwcvxiQ1o
Ornphanic: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc41dM0ZnDo

Thank you to those who have listened to and supported this Telegraph series, particularly the Newcastle Music Show which has featured songs from the releases right across the year.

Craig.

Wrenasmir Newcastle, Australia

Wrenasmir used to be a baroque pipe organist before he discovered samplers and synthesizers. Now he makes imaginary soundtracks in his studio for the twilight beachside city that lives in his head - full of vinyl and pixels and bittersweet memories.
