about

When I first commenced this Telegraph series on New Year's Eve 2022, I didn't think it would become an LP. I just wanted to create a seasonal series of two-track releases that would let me experiment with different musical ideas without needing to be cohesive across an extended duration. However, when I finished Winter it was clear to me that the tracks could absolutely work in an album sequence, and part way through Spring I realised that I would end up with an LP that would represent a pleasing summation of my recent work that, while sonically varied, consistently retains a thumbprint of the period.

I hope you think so too.

Craig.

PS. I've created an audio-synced line projection video of the album using the Geometrum 'Max for Live' tool created by Sabina Covarrubias. A version of this will be used for live performance visuals: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWocvQEzrdE

about

Wrenasmir Newcastle, Australia

Wrenasmir used to be a baroque pipe organist before he discovered samplers and synthesizers. Now he makes imaginary soundtracks in his studio for the twilight beachside city that lives in his head - full of vinyl and pixels and bittersweet memories.
